 Erin
L. Barnes:
Erin loves being part of the group of dynamic performers and
wonderful friends that is Bella Voce. She started with BV
shortly after graduating Summa Cum Laude from the Jacksonville
University School of Music, where she earned awards for
outstanding achievements in performance in solo voice, choral
singing, and musical theatre ventures. She was also awarded the
Deans Choice Award for Excellence in Music. Since then, Erin has
been busy throughout the region, performing with Bella Voce, the
Milestones Jazz Trio, The Jacksonville Lyric Opera (touring
ensemble), First Coast Opera, and with local theatres like
Orange Park Theatre, Players by the Sea, and the Limelight
Theatre in St. Augustine. She has been a featured soloist with
the River City Band and the First Coast Chorus. Some of her
favorite roles included “Nancy” in Oliver!, the “Queen”
in Cinderella, “Abigail” in Finding the Sun,
“Jezebel” in Gene Nordan's touring production of Piano Bar,
and with ensemble casts in Side by Side by Sondheim and
Godspell. She has been thrilled to perform the lead roles
in two original productions, as “Cathy” in Wuthering Heights,
the Musical and as “Callie” in He Was a Stranger.
When not performing, Erin operates a busy private studio with
over 40 voice and piano students, and shares her love of the
stage with classes in acting and home school theatre at the
Cultural Center of Ponte Vedra Beach, where she recently formed
a glee club for young people called Hot Notes. She
cherishes her starring role as wife to fellow BV cast member
Matt Barnes, and as mom to 3 children - Ethan, Cason and Clara.
