October
2006 - Unitarian Universalist Church of
Jacksonville - 100 Year Gala
Bella Voce
designed and delivered a program that celebrated the centennial
celebration for the Unitarian Universalist Church of
Jacksonville. Reverend Dr. John L. Young was most kind in
sending this letter: "We
have now had the great pleasure of hosting Bella Voce for two
concerts at our congregation within the last year. When they
provided a social evening last spring, everyone who attended
enjoyed them so much that they were urging us to sign them up
for a return engagement. So, we asked them to return this
autumn, during the celebration of our 100 years in Jacksonville,
and 40 years in our present location, and they presented a
program called: 100 Years of Popular Song. There was a good
crowd; they had a great time, and we raised $1100 for the
Arlington Community Services [the Arlington Food Bank]. Bella
Voce is a group of extraordinary singers. Their voices are
marvelous; their presence is outstanding; their professionalism
is obvious, and their joy in performing is contagious. Jim
Goodell has been marvelous to work with, and I would recommend
Bella Voce enthusiastically and without reservations."
